American Eagle "Rewards" Program

American Eagle has a reward program that is so good, it makes you want to slap the cashier lol. I have had the rewards program since I was in high school. I have racked up a bunch of points, coupons and free items. But what I really want to talk about is American Eagle being smart about their program. You are able to get a pair of free jeans once you buy 5 pairs of jeans and none of the 5 can be on clearance and the same for bras. They are able to make a big profit from that because if you buy 5 of their jeans that are $49.95 - $79.95 per jean they are making $249.75- $399.75 from and you would only be getting $49.95-$79.95 from them for every 5 jeans you buy. It looks good at the moment but if you do the math, you still lose out. Many companies has these reward programs that get you to spend by giving you these "reward" options. Think  about it the next time you shop in these stores.
