30% Sale and A Drunk Lady

So American Eagle had a friends and family sale all weekend. I wanted to talk about some of the consumers that we had come into the store. So today was the last day of the sale and I worked Friday, Saturday, and today. Today was the busiest day of the sale. I tried to figure out why, why was everyone running around the store going crazy on the last day of the sale when they had 2 other days to get what they wanted, no issue. I then started to think, was it because it was the last day of the sale. Did everyone wait until the sale was almost over to buy these items? These are the same items, same prices but with an additional 30% off. Then I met a lady and her two daughters shopping in American Eagle, her daughters tried on everything in the store then turned around and tried on everything they bought from other stores as well. The mother was drunk and really didn't mind how long they had already spent in the store. Fast forward to when she was ready to check out, she was given the discount and she let us know how appreciative she was that we let her and her daughters stay in the store to try on her stuff after we were closed. So my question to everyone is what type of sale makes you a "drunk lady with 2 kids"? When a store has a sale do you go at the beginning of the sale or do you wait until the last moment the sale is about to end?
